By the side of the river Nile and under the moving shades of palm trees the new bride Mehaira - مهيرة from the Shaygia - شايقية tribe in Northern Sudan, wearing her traditional jewelry dances with the edge of her Thoab - ثوب (a Sudanese women’s over garment) and Firka - فركة (a satin cloth used in the wedding ceremony) along Al Tanbour (a Sudanese music instrument) of her groom singing expressing his love to her and describing  her beauty.

The painting is part of a line of the Sudanese brides and Al Tanbour - الطنبور customized to match this collection of paintings.
