لوح الجرتق- Girtig wooden slate

Crafted in the tradition of the "Girtig" Sudanese wedding ceremony, لوح الجرتق- Girtig wooden slate is influenced by the traditional tools used by my late grandmother, Sittana Bedri, and plays an important role in the "Hug" ceremony. Along with the slate, it also comes with two "mubakhir" clay pots and a "daluka" drum, which are all essential elements in the bride dance performed by women during the ceremony. These items are beautifully complemented by traditional bridal and groom's jewelry.
