The painting tells the story of Fatima the woman working on cooking and selling Kisra “عواسة الكسرة” at Wad Medani city the capital of Al Jazirah central state.

Fatima cooks the Kisra at a Kanoon on a steel heavy Sag “صاج”, carrying in one hand a Kisra peace to flip in to the other side and a Garbareeba for spreading the paste at the Saj pot “قرقريبة” -made of dry palm leaves- with the other hand” and at her lap the Al-doka piece of cloth with oil “الدوكة” used to wipe the Saj to avoids the Kisra sticking to it and cleaning the Saj from the residues of the previous Kisra pieces. At her side is a bucket of the paste used for backing Al Kisar “الخمار and a flat basket made of breaded dry palm leaves “طبق” for placing the backed Kisra sheets "طرقات الكسرة".

While at the other Kanoon cooks beans “فول” inside a Gidra steel pot "قدرة فول".

At the back ground hanging on the wall is the Birish made of breaded dry pal leaves with a hole in the middle "برش الدخان” she uses to place above the hole in the ground for smoking her body "الدخان".

Behind the brick wall show the mosque and tomb of the Famous religious leader Mohamed Al Ameen Medani Al Sunni “"الفقيه محمد الأمين ابن الفقيه مدني السني which the city was named after.
