Madania "Civilian" Wooden Slate -لوح مدنيااو
This artwork draws inspiration from the December 2019 revolution, which sought to establish a civilian ruling system as a solution to Sudan's history of injustice, civil wars, and strife. Symbolic elements such as a traditional sword and shield, Al Tanbour (a Sudanese musical instrument), the crescent used in Soufi celebrations, and the Jabana (Sudanese coffee pot) are all incorporated, with each bearing the word "Madania" (meaning civilian in Arabic) in a curved, dotted design. The upper portion of the wooden slate features the December 2019 revolution slogan "Horya, Salam, Aadala" (meaning "Liberty, Peace, and Justice") written in straight lines and square angles.
