The painting is for the famous couple "Tajouj and Mahalag – "تاجوج و المحلقfrom the famous fairy tale, Tajoug is a famously known beautiful young lady from the Bega tribe representing the beauty of the East Sudan and her lover Al Mahalag who was madly in love with her left a legendary story to tell and much romantic poetry expressing his love for Tajouj.
The couple poses in front of their new home, a tent made of “Birish- “بيرش (breaded dry palm tree leaves). They are holding closely a sword and a shield “درع” which are used by the Beja - البجا tribe during times of war and celebratory dancing.

The painting in part of a collection of (3) paintings- all share the same size and colors but tell different stories from the Sudanese folklore.
Materials: Non-toxic acrylic paint, diluted gold dust powder, 3D liquid liners on a wooden board.
