Mehaira wa Al-Tanbour - مهيرة و الطنبور
The beautiful bride Mehaira "مهيرة" from the shaiygya tribe at North Sudan- dances along to Al Tanbour’s (a Sudanese music instrument) melodies, swaying to the sides holding her Thoab - ثوب (a Sudanese women’s over garment), and the Firka - فركة (a satin cloth used in the wedding ceremony) cloth covering her face glides away, while the aroma of the coffee brewing in the Jabana - جبنه (Sudanese coffee pot) follows the air created by the movement of the dance.
The painting is part of a sequence of designs of brides from different parts of Sudan.
Materials: Non-toxic acrylic paint, diluted gold dust powder, 3D liquid liners on a wooden board.
